To ensure that programs are in place for the well-being, care, compensation and commemoration of serving and ex-service Defence Force members and their dependants; and promote Government and community awareness of the need for a secure and progressive Australia.
The Maroochydore RSL Women's Auxiliary was formed in 1933 and while waiting for the RSL to obtain land and build a hall they held their meetings in a tin shed on the banks of Cornmeal Creek which came equiped with a wood stove and hurricane lamps.
The Auxiliary has had many hardworking members over the years with many past and present members holding gold badges, three with National Certificates, one with an MBE and two with OAM's. A record I'm sure not many Auxiliary can claim.
Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month (except Public holidays) starting at 9.30am for a cuppa and 10am meeting start in RSL House Memorial Ave Maroochydore.
